Why you should be using Cloud Computing

Use of Cloud ComputingEven though there has been some people that believe that it could lead to some privacy risks, there are still millions of people all over the world that use it on a daily basis. We’re going to go through some of the benefits of using cloud computing so that you can decide whether you should be using it or not.

Cheaper

In general, cloud computing is a lot cheaper than other methods of storing files. Instead of buying external hard drives or whatever to store your files, you can simply use cloud computing. A lot of companies that offer cloud computing such as DropBox will even let you store a certain amount of files with them free of charge too which is a bonus. Most companies will charge you a small monthly fee to use their services though, but it’s a lot cheaper than other ways of keeping your files.

Mobility
In the past, you’d have to carry around floppy disks, hard drives and so on with you if you wanted to bring your files with you but thankfully this is no longer the case. Not only was this risky since you could lose your data if you lost the hard drive or whatever, but it was also quite annoying to have to carry it around with you wherever you go. Nowadays, all you have to do is upload your files to the cloud and then you can access them wherever you are as long as you can connect to the internet (which is just about anywhere nowadays!).

Easy to Use
Cloud storage is extremely easy to use. All you’ve got to do is go to the company’s website such as Dropbox and then upload whatever file it is that you want to upload to the cloud. Even though cloud computing might sound quite confusing, you don’t need to be a genius to use it! Just about anyone can learn how to store files in the cloud within a matter of minutes.

Storage Space
If you need to store a lot of files, then cloud computing is definitely for you. You’ll basically have unlimited storage if you sign up to a good cloud computing plan. There might be a maximum limit hidden away in the terms and conditions, but it’ll more than likely be so high that you’ll never have to worry about going over your limit.

As you can see, there are plenty of benefits of cloud computing. If you’re still unsure about it then we’d recommend that you use something like Dropbox which is free to see how you find it.
