iCloud New Prices Announced by Apple

On 2nd September Apple put in place new pricing policies for its higher level iCloud services. This follows in the wake of revised prices for lower tier storage announced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Prices for new high level tier cloud storage are $ 0.99 per month for 20 GB or $ 11.88 per annum; $ 3.99 for 200 GB or $ 47.88 per annum; $ 9.99 for 500 GB and $ 19.99 for 1 TB space. This includes 5 GB free storage. Apple’s prices may be considered on the higher side considering price of $ 9.99 for 1 TB per month charged by Google and Dropbox.

iCloud’s security is not all that great considering how its servers were hacked in recent times and tests also showed weaknesses. However diehard Apple fans will continue to rely on its cloud offerings.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple did announce implementation of new security measures without going into details. iCloud new prices and security concerns, for the moment, recede into the background as its launch of the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6 and smart watch make headlines.
